My New Stepmom Used to Be a Stripper

The setup

Jake's dad introduces his brand-new wife, Mia, at a backyard barbecue. Jake knows her at once, and not from any wedding: she's Cherry, the dancer who worked his buddy's stag night in Vegas, and he had a front-row seat. Mia plays dumb, insisting he has the wrong woman while his dad wanders off to the barbecue. Alone with Jake, she hears the proof, right down to a tattoo, and asks what he wants. His friend Tyler, the groom from that party, calls to say he's coming over Saturday to meet her. Mia proposes a trade: Jake's silence for a private encore at midnight in the living room, free of charge.

Why it earns its number

Blackmail comedy with a wink: Mia has a marriage to protect, Jake has a memory from Vegas, and each is trying to keep the other quiet. It's built on a shared secret, and watching them pose as a happy family for his dad is half the fun.

Who should collect it: For anyone who likes a stepmom with a past, a stepson with leverage and a standoff that runs on a midnight appointment.
