The setup
Amanda's husband is always one more deal away from coming home, so the house has gone quiet and so has she. Then a new neighbor knocks, short on sugar, light bulbs and, by his own admission, dignity. He borrows a bathroom, praises the way she makes people feel at ease, and then says her name before she's offered it. Episode 1 stops right there. Episode 2 finds her friend Sarah on the phone, asking how he knew; Amanda insists he read it off the mailbox. Sarah urges Amanda to enjoy herself with him, and then a darker question lands: what if this man already knows more about her marriage than she does?
Why it earns its number
Most cheating-wife stories hurry to the bedroom. This one lingers on the doorstep: a husband who treats the marriage like a layover, a stranger who notices what nobody else bothers to, and a friend feeding her theories. Nine episodes give the slow burn room to earn its payoff.
Who should collect it: For viewers who enjoy a patient build with a puzzle inside, and a heroine overdue to be seen.
