Dad's New Girlfriend

The setup

Colette is charming, carefree and, as of recently, dating his father, which should have made her off limits before he ever ordered a coffee. Episode 1 stays at her counter, where a tip screen turns into a running joke and one smile lingers a beat too long. Episode 2 follows him out the door. A pushy customer gets shown the exit, a buddy warns that the baristas there flirt for gratuities, and then he spots her car. She laughs about the admirer she just shook off, he confesses he'd qualify, and she waves him in with his dad away for hours.

Why it earns its number

It earns a spot twice over, in Taboo and in Long runs, because six episodes give the crush room to breathe. Where other family-line stories jump straight to the dare, this one lets a coffee order do the flirting and keeps the absent father hanging over every scene.

Who should collect it: For collectors who like a slow burn with a guilty conscience and want a longer run than the usual five episodes.
