Isabella's Revelation

The setup

Isabella is a devout journalist who confides in her mother and keeps her days orderly. Tonight's assignment is to profile Manalo, the notorious rock star, at his hotel. Episode 1 opens with her whispering to her mother about thoughts she cannot shake, then follows her into his room, where he tells her she stands out from everyone he meets and urges her to stop fighting whatever she feels. She tells him to back off. Episode 2 begins with a confession: she let him get close and wanted it anyway. Then Manalo says he wants her to be his girl, and she refuses to climb into his car.

Why it earns its number

Seven episodes puts it in the Long runs set, and the extra room goes to guilt rather than speed: a confession in episode 2, a woman arguing with her own conscience and a rock star who has never waited politely for anything. The tension is moral before it is physical.

Who should collect it: For anyone who likes a slow fall, a guilty conscience and a rock star who has never been told no.
