The setup
Jake has broken both hands, which is a very specific kind of helplessness. His wife arranges a nurse through an agency, and everyone expects a retiree, so there's no one to flirt with. Mila arrives instead: not sixty, not matronly, and wearing a blue uniform she's clearly happy to adjust. Episode 1 is Jake's discovery of how many everyday things need a second pair of hands, and her cheerful offer to help with every one of them. In episode 2 his wife calls to ask if the nurse came and if she's nice, and Jake answers carefully while Mila stays within earshot. The wife's promise to be home by seven sets a deadline.
Why it earns its number
The constraint is the comedy: a patient who physically can't do anything without help, and a nurse with an answer to every request. Mila is a recurring character in the collection, so this is also a good place to meet her.
Who should collect it: For anyone who enjoys a flirty bedside manner and a plot where the wife is always one phone call away.
