Your girlfriend's younger sister

The setup

Mila has a secret and, being private, she puts it on paper. The crush is on her sister's boyfriend, and the notebook is the only place she's honest. Episode 1 has him catching her mid-entry, teasing her about it, and then confessing that things at home have gotten strange: he and her sister have even floated opening up their relationship. Then he admits that someone keeps crowding his thoughts. Episode 2 drops the pretense. A hallway confession, a suggestion to go somewhere quieter, a parked car, and two people reminding each other they're supposed to be friends. Ten episodes let the guilt ripen properly.

Why it earns its number

Written confessions, a sibling betrayal and a boyfriend who knows more than he admits make this one quieter than most of the collection. The tension runs on glances, shared silences and one wonderfully bad idea in a car. Mila turns up in other series too, but here she is the lead.

Who should collect it: For a slow, guilty, whispered kind of evening, when you want longing and consequences instead of noise.
