The setup
Jake is one exam away from losing his scholarship, after a third failed test for Professor Vaughn. Episode 1 sends him to her office after five, where she shuts the door, praises his brain, notices where his eyes wander and names her price for a better score: discretion on both sides, and a result that depends on how he performs. Episode 2 is his answer. He says no, he has a girlfriend, and Vaughn only smiles: the offer stays open. His girlfriend Maya turns out to be the star of that very class, and she wants to study together. It's sweet. It's also exactly when Jake starts losing the thread.
Why it earns its number
The double bind is the point: a professor on one side, a girlfriend who happens to top the same class on the other, and Jake in the middle with a grade to save. It's temptation by appointment, built on office hours and study breaks rather than a sudden swerve, and the locked door does a lot of the talking.
Who should collect it: For anyone who likes a slow temptation story with a teacher who knows exactly what she's offering.
