Lodge 69 Was Double Booked

The setup

Two couples arrive at the same ski lodge with the same confirmation, and a closed mountain road settles the argument: all four stay. Episode 1 is the awkward unpacking, with two bedrooms for four adults plus a hot tub as a peace offering, and one wife lets slip that her husband will spend tomorrow skiing from morning to dusk. In episode 2 the plan unfolds: the men are invited to ski, Brad goes, a wife begs off with a headache, and the hot tub starts to seem like a better idea. A shower, a half-hearted reminder about a spouse in the next room, and a window of hours that somebody mentions out loud.

Why it earns its number

A snowbound cabin story: the closed road is the lock on the door, and the lodge number is a running wink. It plays like a bottle episode with a ski schedule as the alibi. A change of tone from the stepfamily shelf: no blood ties, just two adult couples and a very long afternoon.

Who should collect it: For anyone who enjoys a snowed-in farce with a hot tub, a ski schedule and an alibi that holds until four.
