My Step-Sister Can't Resist Me

The setup

Cole and Lea became stepsiblings when their parents married, and they've been insulting each other ever since. When the newlyweds leave for a week, Cole is put in charge, which Lea takes as a declaration of war. Episode 1 is a duel of barbs: she says she hates him, he points out how often she looks, and a call from her mother Linda interrupts at exactly the wrong moment. She storms off to her room. Episode 2 follows: he invites himself in, claims the room as his territory, spots makeup she wears to bed and teases her until she admits what she wants without admitting anything. When their mother calls, Lea lies for him.

Why it earns its number

The enemies-to-lovers engine runs on denial rather than distance: Lea insists she can't stand Cole while doing everything to stay in his orbit. The parents' trip frames a clean one-week window, and the phone call in episode 2 lands with perfect comic timing.

Who should collect it: For anyone who loves enemies-to-lovers banter, a bossy lead and a heroine who insists she's immune.
