Lusting for daddy's watchdog

The setup

Solene Yoon is on vacation in paradise with a leash she never asked for: an ex-military bodyguard her father hired, who goes everywhere she goes and answers most questions with silence. Episode 1 is a resort night that turns ugly when a man at the bar ignores her refusal and the bodyguard settles it fast. Solene threatens to get him fired. He asks whether she's angry about the rescue or just jealous. Episode 2 brings Papa to the party, all fatherly concern, with the news that this is her third bodyguard of the month and that somebody out there wants her hurt. His order to the hired man is blunt: protect her, nothing more.

Why it earns its number

The forbidden line here is a job description, not a family tree, which makes it a clean slow burn on a shelf crowded with step-relatives. Add a tropical resort, a father who could be watching from any balcony and a hero who says as little as possible, and the tension keeps its own clock running.

Who should collect it: For slow-burn fans who like a ticking clock, a stern protector and a heroine who enjoys making his work harder.
