The setup
A guy does a simple favor for his best friend, Gerald, and ends up at the house of Gerald's stepmother. Veronica greets him with calm confidence, Holly turns up for Pilates with playful energy, and Gerald is conveniently somewhere else. Episode 1 settles into a tug of war over who gets his attention first. In episode 2 the Pilates session becomes a stretching clinic, the visitor is recruited to help with a sore back and tight shoulders, and the women start comparing notes out loud while he sits in the middle. Nobody asks whether he minds, which he does not.
Why it earns its number
Holly and Veronica are recurring Candy characters, and this is the one where they share the screen and the competition. The rhythm is playful rivalry, a fitness class setup and a guy who is mostly the prize. Both women reappear in other series of the collection, which makes this the duet to start with.
Who should collect it: For collectors who like a double act and a flirty contest that nobody pretends to be fair.
