The setup

Mona has hauled her stepbrother to Kent for a summer exchange with a proper family, and she has not exactly taken the etiquette lessons to heart. Episode 1 starts in the entrance hall, where she can't resist embarrassing him before the introductions, with two host sons waiting inside. Then Charlotte appears, his daydreaming takes a sharp turn, and Mona's sarcasm snaps him back. Episode 2 hands them their rooms down the same hallway, turns a borrowed bedroom into a playground and counts down to tea time. Her on-again, off-again crush is the engine, and the house rules are optional.

Why it earns its number

Mona is a regular in the collection and shows up in other series, but this is where she is in her element: a stuffy foreign household gives her every excuse to be chaos itself. Kent, tea time and a stiff upper lip are the stage. Comedy of manners with a wink, and the polite version of a bad influence.
