Step-Sister's Secret

The setup

The story is told from a therapist's couch. A woman confesses that she cannot stop picturing her stepsister Rachel's fiancé, a man who lives in her mother's house. Episode 1 flashes back to the drive Rachel lent him for, a scenic road trip where the family rule about sharing gets bent, and ends with someone asking her what she is meant to do with her wish. Episode 2 goes deeper into the night she cannot explain, one that began behind a bathroom door left open a little too long. Everyone around her seems to have read the script already.

Why it earns its number

This is the collection's confession booth: a frame story where the telling is part of the show, with a therapist who becomes a character and a family that may be directing the whole thing. A stepsister story with a twist of unreliable narration.

Who should collect it: For anyone who wants an intimate, talky, slightly twisted story where the real question is who wrote the plot.
