I Can See Through Everyone But Her

The setup

Owen needs rent money, so he swallows a pill for a paid study. The result is a superpower he plans to enjoy: he suddenly sees through everything, including how much Mrs. Alvarez, who wants the rent, admires his attitude. Day two brings a follow-up with Dr. Larrea, who runs the study, whose husband supplied the pill, and who insists he cannot see through her. Episode 2 raises the cost: nosebleeds, a glimpse of his own skeleton and a game with rules. Dr. Larrea tests his vision by making him name every mark on her, and each right answer costs her something she is wearing.

Why it earns its number

A rare sci-fi hook on the shelf: a pill, a study and a ten-day deadline before his eyes give out. The premise keeps the stakes physical and the flirtation clever, and Dr. Larrea controls every scene while the clock never stops.

Who should collect it: For anyone who wants the pill-and-superpower fantasy with a real deadline and a brilliant doctor in charge.
