The setup

Jake's girlfriend Tessa booked the appointment because she thinks he needs fixing. Margot Vey, a bold therapist, takes one look at the pair and decides the cure is participation. Episode 1 is a session of increasingly personal questions, with Tessa answering honestly, Jake squirming and Margot noticing every flinch. When she asks to speak with Jake alone, the couples counseling turns into a private lesson.
