The setup
Ava has declared girls' night and sent her boyfriend to bed, which leaves him with a problem he has lived with for two years: Camilla, Ava's closest friend, is also his stepsister. Episode 1 sets the trap. He spies, he grumbles, he's told to go to bed, and then Ava, as always, falls asleep long before the movie ends. Camilla slides into his path with a grin: the rule says boys are not allowed, but now the decision is hers. Episode 2 raises the stakes. Ava could wake any second, which is exactly what Camilla enjoys, and she tests his loyalty with the girlfriend sleeping a few feet away.
Why it earns its number
A one-room tension story: three people, one couch, one sleeping girlfriend and a stepsister enjoying every second. The thrill is the countdown of near misses, and Camilla's double identity as friend and stepsister keeps the guilt turned up. The Stepsister shelf has plenty of siblings; this one adds a chaperone who's out cold.
Who should collect it: For anyone who loves a near-miss comedy where the chaperone is fast asleep on the sofa and the clock is ticking.
