The Nun in Our Guest Room

The setup

A nun known as Sister Dark Angel is coming to stay at Veronica's house for the week, and the family greets her warmly: she'll be with them until Sunday. Veronica's son shows her to the guest room and learns very quickly that she is nothing like the pious houseguest he expected. Episode 1 moves from pleasantries to something she calls heavenly, then to an invitation to pray, with a prayer that asks for guidance about whatever happens tonight. In episode 2 he's still rattled, she asks whether he heard her last night, and she explains that Sunday is the day she takes her vows and everything she hasn't done becomes something she never will.

Why it earns its number

Not many stories put a deadline on a vow. Sunday hangs over every scene, giving the series urgency and a mischievous moral question: how much can one week hold? Taboo and Nympho sets, five episodes, and a houseguest in complete control of the situation.

Who should collect it: For viewers who like their forbidden fantasies with a ticking clock and a mischievous sense of humor about it.
