I Couldn't Say No to Our Babysitter

The setup

He is a married man with a very clear conscience until the evening the family babysitter, Mila, is stranded when her date stands her up. Episode 1 is a kind offer: he'll drive her home rather than let her wait for a cab. She is warm, funny and quietly pointed about what kind of man she wishes she were dating, and when they pull up she asks him upstairs, just briefly, to pick something up for Mrs. Hartley. Episode 2 puts him inside her apartment, where she slips away to change into what she planned to wear on her date, then asks for his verdict. His phone buzzes at the worst moment, and so does his guilt.

Why it earns its number

No blackmail and no secret past here, just a favor, a car and a narrator who keeps promising himself it's two minutes. The tension lives in his inner monologue, a man arguing himself into a corner one polite step at a time. In a Taboo set full of family ties, this is the one built on being the nice guy.

Who should collect it: For anyone who enjoys watching a good man talk himself into trouble one reasonable excuse at a time.
