My Best Friend's Bride

The setup

With the wedding nearly here, the best man has been handed errands and one personal rule: stay away from the bride. Episode 1 puts that rule under pressure. The groom, Jake, is asleep, the caterer needs a word, and Bri wants help upstairs with her dress because her fiance is useless with zippers and the best man is not. He tries to say no. She replies with a reminder of how long they've known each other and what he never tried. Episode 2 keeps her moving closer while he argues with himself, until a knock at the door and the groom's voice, looking for his keys.

Why it earns its number

The setup is a wedding in its final stretch: a groom who keeps dozing off, a bride who has made up her mind and a best man who is the last honest person in the room. The tension comes from restraint rather than speed, and the knock at the door in episode 2 works like a cliffhanger.

Who should collect it: For a story of temptation timed to a wedding clock, where good behavior is the thing that gets tested.
